Providing first class driving tuition Crystal School of Motoring, owned and operated by Graham Harper, has developed a reputation for excellence based on a commitment to quality, value and customer satisfaction. Graham guarantees relaxed, thorough and very enjoyable driving lessons aimed at not only getting you through your driving test at the first attempt but teaching you to drive safely and confidently for life.

Crystal offers a wide range of courses, whether you are wanting to take your first driving lesson, an experienced driver wishing to improve your driving, haven’t driven for a long time and lost confidence, qualified abroad and want to drive safely in this country or just want a little practice in parking or reversing round corners, Graham will teach you in a calm, friendly and patient manner, helping you to learn at your own pace.

About your driving instructor - Graham

In the 16 years that Graham has been giving driving lessons he has built up an excellent local reputation with his high pass rate and calm teaching manner. He offers a wide range of driving services designed to suit your individual needs including intensive driver training and motorway lessons. Graham wants you to pass as the best reflection of his teaching is not seeing you again.

Graham’s qualifications and professional memberships include:

• DSA Approved Driving Instructor - Grade 6 (grade 6 is the highest).
• Pass Plus Instructor.
• Institute of Advanced Motorists.
• Driving Instructor’s Association.
• Diamond Advanced Master Drivers Club.
• IAM Registered Instructor.

As mentioned in the above list, Graham is an IAM Registered Instructor.
To have qualified as an IAM-Registered Instructor, your driving instructor must not only be a fully-qualified instructor (ADI), but must also have passed the IAM Advanced Test.

Green Badge

The government’s Driving Standards Association (DSA) grades driving instructors from 1 to 6 (with 6 being the highest) and regularly carries out re-tests to ensure that tuition is of the highest standard. Instructors are awarded a coloured badge as proof of their competence.

The Green Badge is displayed in the bottom left corner of the training vehicle’s windscreen. This is your proof that you have a fully qualified driving instructor and it’s your guarantee that you will receive the highest quality driving tuition.
Some Driving School vehicles display a Pink Badge - please note that this is a Training Licence, and is displayed by a driving instructor who is "still undergoing training ".

Graham is a DSA Grade 6 Green Badge Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

About Crystal’s car

Recently, Graham joined the AA driving school as an "Independent Franchisee".

All AA instructors teach in a new Ford Focus. It’s a medium size car with power assisted-steering, making it really easy to control and manoeuvre.

Air conditioned, with plenty of legroom and headroom and a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, it will help you to feel cool, comfortable and confident.

Our tuition cars are replaced every six months with brand new vehicles, to ensure a smooth, reliable drive.
